A super rare 1958 Lemania TG195 Military black gloss gilt dial watch. The watch displays super glossy gilt black dial and beautifully toned radium hour markers. The case back still retains the three crowns, or Tre Kronor in Swedish, was the Swedish equivalent to the British broad arrow, used to denote the property of the State. The Tg195 to this day still remains somewhat of a mystery. There are many ideas as to where it was issued and what the 'Tg 195' represents, but there has never been a conclusive answer. All we know for sure, is that the Lemania Tg195 were delivered to the Swedish military in the 1950's and they are visually one of the best all round watches to come from Lemania. The Lemania Tg195 is unique in that it is not a traditional chronograph. While it may look like a mono pusher chronograph, the Cal. 225 is actually a hacking seconds watch with a special synchronisation function. Pressing the top pusher pops the crown out and resets the second hand to zero. Only by pushing the crown back in, the watch starts again. This was very useful in synchronising watches and it especially makes sense in a military context where timing is everything.
