Steel Omega De Ville Ref. 145.017 vintage wristwatch, circa 1968. A handsome stainless steel manually wound chronograph wristwatch with register and tachymeter. Omega introduced the Ref: 145.017 in 1968. The serial number of this watch dates it to 1968, suggesting that this is one of the first examples of the reference to have been made. The classic silvered dial has applied indexes and two subsidiary dials for constant seconds to the left and, to the right, a 30-minute register to record time elapsed when the chronograph is running. The chronograph can be both started and stopped by the upper pusher and reset via the lower pusher. The outer tachymeter scale is designed to measure the speed of a travelling object over a set distance. With a case back engraved 'E.J. Barnes 25th Dec 1973' Fitted with a 1098 breacelet with 540 end links.
